I am a football fanatic and cannot wait for the World Cup to kick off in Russia in June in 2018. It has been 4 long years since we saw the Germans master their way to silverware and lift the famous world cup trophy. If you are into your world cup betting and cannot decide on who to bet on – I suggest you go and see the site World Cup Tips – they have some of the top pundits in the game that will tell you everything you need to know about when it comes to the FIFA World Cup. Try answering some of their quizzes and see how smart you are when it comes to world cup trivia. Many people will be expecting the likes of Germany to go on and win the tournament again this year or their will be strong calls that Brazil and Spain are in with a shout, but my money is going to be on the dark horses – Belgium.
The Belgium side have been progressing and improving year on year in the past few years and with the talent they have in their squad they should be real contenders this World Cup. They have world class players all over the pitch – up front they have the dangerous Lukaku who is built like a tank but has a very deceiving turn of pace and he has a killer blow with scoring goals. He will be supported up front by the world class duo of Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne who are two of the top players in the world today. Whether its threading a pass to a player in a goal scoring position or dribbling past three defenders and scoring these two have it all in their lockers.
Guarding the midfield are three world class players in Nainggolan, Dembele and Witsel who have the prowess and strength in the midfield and they all have very good footballing brains which makes them so tough to beat.
Finally, in defence they have some of the best defenders in the game today with Vertongen and Alderweireld from Spurs and Kompany from Man City - they have a rock-solid base to attack from. And let us not forget the world class Thibaut Courtois in goals who is still young and has the reflexes of a cat. It is extremely hard to beat this guy in goals as he is such a presence in the box standing at 1,99m tall. Not many strikers will get above him to head home. I think Belgium are a safer bet to win the World Cup then most people are giving them credit for.
