Coca-Cola you Racist Bastards

So I know we have all seen this ad a few times (maybe more then a few) now, but I thought I would jump on the band wagon and throw my 2 cents in. This is not a bash at America per say, or Americans for that matter. I have American friends and I always make fun of them, after all they are the world giants so they deserve to take a bit of stick. Living abroad though I have met all types of people and I have met all types of Americans. I have met shy ones, loud ones, mean, nice, soldiers, teachers, travelers, liberals, conservatives, republicans, democrats, racists, open minded ones, ones I want to be friends with and ones I would prefer to steer clear of. Yes sadly there are those bad apples and yes just like those people that made all those comments about the Coca-Cola ad. I have met those ones. And yes I know what you are thinking, are they really that ignorant, stupid and self absorbed and the answer is well...yes.

I thought the coke ad was great. After all America was built on the back on immigrants, so why not celebrate your country for all the multicultural beauty that you have. Yes it appears to be 99% white people that had a problem with the ad, but let me just start by saying. You dumb ignorant racist people. Yes your national language is English, but why do you think that is. Did the Native Americans speak English?......No they did not. So where did this language come from?

Well this chick, definitely nailed the English language there. 

Oh yes Europe! Where you all came from. I am white and from South Africa and I too came from Europe, does that make me any less South African? ...... No it does not. Some have said that they are Americans with foreign decent, like this guy below, and not foreigners living in America.

Well buddy what do you think your great great grandfather was when he arrived in America....he was a foreigner living in America. You all have to start somewhere. Home of the Brave and Home of the Free. Yes and you guys are supposed to be the land of hope, where dreams can come true. So why do you think these "non Americans" have come to your land, well for the same reason your ancestors did, for a better life and to be American. 

People need to open their minds and realise that the world does not revolve around them. Again this is not all Americans, it's just a hand full. But it is that hand full, that just really F%@#s me off. I see these people every week in my line of work and I just take a deep breath and walk away, because really, why waste your time talking to a person who doesn't add value to this world. We live on this beautiful planet, with a range of amazing cultures, languages and people. I have had the privilege to broaden my horizons and get to know some of these cultures and languages. I only wish more people could experience it and realise that hate, is what creates the problem in the first place. Everybody love everybody
