The Perks of Being a Wallflower

I don't normally wirte reviews on movies, I am more the kind of guy that will put a trailer up, and say...HOW COOL DOES THIS LOOK. But in this case I just have to say a few things about this movie. The Perks of Being a Wallflower is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time, and more so it probably ranks on my all time top ten. That list has the likes of Shawshank, Gladiator and LOTR so you can just tell how much I enjoyed it. Do yourself a favour and give it a watch, I promise you that you will thank me...so in advance...You're welcome.


Logan Lerman has the lead, and they do really well making him seem younger than the actor actually is. Which I liked, because I am so tired of 30 year olds playing high school and college rolls. Emma Watson is also really good, nice to see she can manage without a wand in her hand. But it is the actually the story that steals the show. All the actors play their parts really well to bring the seemingly ordinary dialogue to life in a way that I thought..... wow that was cool.

To be honest I only watched it because I was tired from the previous nights exploits. I am so glad I did, because what I thought would be a random indie film about high school kids and their lame problems, turned into a gripping movie, with a twist here and there.

The line below seems soppy, but it really was one of the lines of the movie and that line has been added to my amoury of smooth one liners forever.

If you haven't seen it yet, then I am actually envious of you. I wish that I hadn't seen it, so I could watch it again for the first time. It really is a masterpiece of a movie. Have a look at the trailer, but it really does not do it any justice.
