The Kooks are Coming to SA thanks to the That #5GumExperience

Yes yes you may have heard that 5 Gum are bring the Kooks to Cape Town and Joburg for another one of those crazy concerts. The #5GumExperience as it is known, has always produced some unforgettable memories, for us, and for so many others out there.

Here is an extract from the 5 Gum press release : "Last week we alluded to the Reveal of the latest #5GumExperience, and it gives me the warm and fuzzie5 to announce that it is official. On 19 April in Jozi and 20 April in Cape Town, The Kooks will headline the #5GumExperience and travel to our fine country for their first South African gig."

Yes yes and if you don't know who the Kooks are well shame on you, but here is something I copy and pasted from someone else, I don't have the time to elighten you, but just get keen.

The Kooks are an English rock band formed in Brighton, East Sussex, in 2004. Signed to Virgin Records in 2006, the band released their debut quadruple platinum selling album "Inside In/Inside Out" followed in 2008 by their second album "Konk" which debuted at number one in the UK. The Kooks released a third album ‘Junk Of The Heart’ on September 12th. Having sold in excess of 3 million records worldwide", this latest album sees the band reach new, soaring heights of musicianship.

The Kooks gained mainstream media attention with the band winning the award for Best UK & Ireland Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2006, and picking up a nomination at The Brit Awards for the single "She Moves in Her Own Way. Looks like we are in for a treat as 5 Gum welcomes Luke Pritchard, Hugh Harris and Peter Denton to South Africa!
